To see students meet, encounter, and be transformed by Jesus in deep and person always. To see students connect with other black communities in a way that is transparent, authentic, and uplifting. To see students leave with vision to bring transformation and revival to other black students by planting witnessing communities on their campuses.
Draw students to Jesus as savior and lord.
Teach students to respond to God's word.
Bible study is at the heart of InterVarsity.
Jazzy Johnson, a proud Native Texan and adopted Chicagoan, is an experienced Educator who specializes in curating and facilitating transformative spaces for learning and listening in the area of social justice. A graduate of Northwestern University, Jazzy directed InterVarsity Christian Fellowship’s Chicago Urban Program for six years, where she led immersive learning experiences for college students and equipped them with holistic practices for living sustained, prophetic lifestyles on their campuses and in their communities. Jazzy recently relocated to Atlanta where she is pursuing her Master of Divinity at Candler School of Theology. She hopes to someday pursue a joint appointment as Chaplain for the nation of Wakanda and Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Alexis Oliphant-Jackson is a native of Milwaukee WI. She is a young enthused woman of God living a life of servitude and kingdom building. Accepting the call to preach, teach and disciple at the age of 21, Alexis describes herself as a “true worshiper” with a deep desire to reach others by showing the love of Christ. Under the leadership and guidance of her parents, Bishop Anthony L. Oliphant SR and Pastor Stephanie Oliphant, she serves at Abiding faith fellowship church in Milwaukee, WI. Her passion is to cultivate the youth as they discover Jesus, lead them to worship him with their lives, and share his glory and gospel around the world through music. In addition to serving at church, Alexis also discovered the art of ministry that lies within her marriage after marrying her husband, DJ Jackson, in 2016. Knowing God’s plans are bigger and better than ours, Alexis strives to please the heart of Christ by living a life of Christ. Alexis is also the founder and CEO of Glitzed by OJ LLC.
Hey everybody! My name's Rachel Daun and I am so excited to be your worship leader this year for Transform. I attended UW- Eau Claire as an education major with a Spanish teaching minor and graduated in December of 2018. During my time at UWEC, I was an RA, taught Zumba classes three times a week, and led worship for Intervarsity and led a Bible study on campus. College students are my absolute favorite people to worship with, and I cannot wait to see you all on the 14th!
